Note: Those tiny white dots are actually butterflies! They were around the entire time we were there that week.

We got a map from the front desk and rented this guy for a day and road tripped across the whole island.

First stop: Philipsburg - the capital of the Dutch Side.

We missed a couple turns to famous beaches but found this spot after picking up a french hitchhiker. Anse Marcel: a private bay on the northern side of the Island. After a quick swim in the ocean, we continued on and ended up on the most photographed beach of the island : Cupecoy Bay.

We went to the famous Sunset Beach where planes would fly over you right before they land!

The next day we decided to pay a visit to Fort Amsterdam while we still had our rental car. It was a quick adventure that was completely worth it.

We decided to hop on a local bus and head back to Philipsburg one afternoon for a picnic on the docks.

We spent our final days just lounging on the beach like real tourists do and managed to make some friends and capture some beach life at the Flamingo Beach Resort.

Mrs. Pappas aka the Greek Goddess. She gave us tips on how to travel around the island and ways to dine cheap.
