One of my most favorite things about being married to Colin is that we get to experience beautiful things together. I have always loved to travel & see new things, but Colin takes that to a whole new level. He has a gift where he can make any jam-packed trip itinerary he thinks up sound like a good idea. So a few months ago we were looking online and found flights to Seattle that would be covered by our frequent flier miles - so of course we booked them! Originally I was content and excited to explore the city and surrounding area for the week - but Colin had other plans.

Banff & Glacier are on our bucket list of places to see - but they aren’t exactly close to Seattle, haha. But my sweet adventurous husband planned our 9 day trip and figured out how we could fit all three places into our week away - so we did! We saved money on housing by camping most of the nights & ate terrible things that don’t require refrigeration like mac & cheese, a million sandwiches & even canned ravioli. We drove probably 30 hours (or more) and stopped every time there was a breathtaking view, which was often. But at the end of the week, we felt like we had experienced something magical that we would remember for years to come & that alone made all the long days worth it.

Check out some of our favorite parts of our trip!

Canoeing in Lake Moraine was a literally bucket list experience of mine - so as you can imagine I was geeking out the entire time! I may have even shed a few tears, it was a surreal & beautiful moment.

We saw about a handful of bears during our trip, but catching a momma with her cubs was such a treat! The only downfall was that this was about .2 miles from our campsite. Needless to say we were extremely aware of our surroundings that night, haha.
